Factory of Fear: Jacobs Energy Corporation, 5027 4th Ave, Moline. Hours are 7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturdays, and from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday, through Nov. 1. Admission is $6. A ``Kids Day, Lights On'' tour will be offered from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 19. Admission for children on that day is $2, with proceeds going to the local student hunger drive
The Rock Island District: ``Fright Night'' will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Downtown Rock Island Arts and Entertainment District, Great River Plaza, 18th Street and 2nd Avenue. Children and family activities will include haunted trolley tours, a treasure hunt and costume contest for kids, plus ghost stories, magicians, and pumpkin decorating. The Haunted Barn/Spook Cave: Located at 6900 State Street in Bettendorf. Admission is $5. For hours and information, call (563) 332-6386 and ask for Brenda.
The Great Pumpkin Patch: Lyndon IL; features a haunted house through Nov. 2. Open daily from 10 a.m to 8 p.m., The Great Pumpkin Patch aslo offers a corn maze, food and train rides. Directions: Take I-88 to exit 26, then go north to Black Road. From there go east until you reach the Great Pumpkin Patch. For information, call (815) 778-4856.
Haunted Hovel: Located at Happy Hollow U-Pick, 17325 20TH Ave N in East Moline. Take the interstate about 1 mile past the QC Downs and turn left. Signs will point you where to go. complete with corn maze and scary displays, will be open from 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays through October and 7-10 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $5 for people 5-and-older. Call (309) 496-1515. Part of the event's proceeds will go to the Barstow Community Fire Protection Unit. The Haunted Hovel is not recommended for children under age 5.
Adventure Quest's 56-acre Haunted Trail/Hayrack Ride/Spook House: Held from 7-11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday through October at 3501 207th St. N, Rapids City. Cost is $8 per person. Cafe with food and spirits is available along with laser tag and bounce house for kids. For groups of 15 or more, reservations are suggested. River Valley House of Terror: Located at 1308 4th Ave, Rapids City, Illinois (two blocks off Illinois 84). Included is the "Haunted Forest","Maze of Terror" and "Swamp of No Return." Hours are from 8-10 p.m. Oct. 19-20 and 26-27, and 7-9 p.m. Oct. 21 and 28. A special lights on night is from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 19. Admission is $3.
East Moline Jaycees' Haunted House: located at the Quad City Downs, will be open from 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays starting Oct. 3. Admission is $5.
Davenport Jaycees' Haunted House will be Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to midnight and Thursdays from 7 to 10 through Nov. 1. The haunted house is located at the old Jovan Foods 1421 Kimberly Road, Bettendorf. For information and price, call (563) 322-6343.
Terror in the Woods haunted house and ``Frightful Forest,'' is open weekends from Oct. 10-Nov.1. Hours are 7 p.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday, 7-10 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7; or $5 on Sundays with the donation of a non-perishable food item. Terror in the Woods is located at 98th Avenue and River Camp Road, rural Donahue, Iowa. Pumpkin Patches and Apple Orchards
Stones Apple Barn: Located at 16115 Hubbard Rd in Port Byron. You can buy apples pre-picked and bagged for you or you can take a hayrack ride out to the orchard and pick your own.
Shady Knoll: Located off of Hampton's Hubbard Road, this pumpkin patch has a petting zoo, bunnyville, hayrack rides, corn maze, and plenty of other things to keep the family busy. For more information, call (309) 496-9636.
Pride of the Wapsi: Located at 14600 305 St in Long Grive, Iowa. Open from 4 p.m.-dusk Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m.-dusk Saturdays and Sundays between October 1 and 31, featuring a petting farm, a pedal tractor track, a spook barn and more. Call (319) 285-8180.
Happy Hollow U-Pick: Located near Port Byron at 17325 20TH Ave N in East Moline. Take the interstate about 1 mile past the QC Downs and turn left. Signs will point you where to go.
Country Corners: Located in Alpha, IL at 5333 US HWY 150. Take 150 from the QCA toward Galesburg. Signs are easily spotted to point your where you need to go. Includes pumpkin patch and corn maze.
Tanner's Orchard: Located at RR2 in Speer, IL. Near Wyoming Illinois (between Kewanee and Peoria). There are so many things to do here it is hard to limit the description. There are apples, pumpkins, pony rides, fresh baked goods, a wagon ride, kids play park, a new HUGE corn maze, and much much more. Open from June through November.

Haunted Events
"All Hallo's Eve" Halloween Party: will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Oct. 31, at the Four Points Sheraton, 3rd Avenue and 17th Street, Rock Island. Dancing, hors d'oeuvres, cash bar and costume contest with prizes. Music provided by Smooth Groove. For reservations, call (866) 241-8187 by Oct. 15.
Putnam Pumpkin Patch: will take place at 1 and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, at the Putnam Museum & IMAX Theatre, 1717 W. 12th St., Davenport. Professional pumpkin artist Chuck Knudsen will demonstrate pumpkin cutting and painting. The family workshop also includes making pumpkin magnets and playing games for treats. Bettendorf Jaycees' Halloween Parade will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, beginning and ending at 23rd Street and Middle Road in Bettendorf. Haunted Rides
Schone's Friendship Farm: will offer half-hour hayrack rides Friday and Saturday evenings through Nov. 1. The farm is 7 miles south of the former Showcase Cinemas in Milan off U.S. 67. Turn east at County Road NN, then take the first left (13th Street, cemetery on the right) and follow the road. Bonfires are available. Cost is $8 per person. Reservations are required. Wicked Air Productions: Wicked Air Productions will offer 25-minute hayrack rides on Oct. 11, 12, 18, 24, 25, 26, and 31. Rides will begin every 10 minutes between 7:30 and 10 p.m. Take Illinois 5 1.5 miles east of the Quad City Downs, turn right at Kress Tire and follow the signs. Rides are $8 per person. Bonfires are available for groups of 25 or more; cost is $25. For reservations, call (309) 762-8364.
Backwater Gamblers: will take off from 44th Street and the Rock River, Rock Island, from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Scary but designed with young children in mind. For cost, call (309) 786-8987.
Haunted Trolley Tours: Catch a ride aboard a haunted trolley where "tales of true hauntings" will be told. Drive through the haunted alley and prepare to be spooked! Rides will be offered from 7 to 10pm on select days in October. Trolley tours start at 18th Street and 2nd Avenue, Rock Island. Tickets are $2.
